Ed Bloemker

Ed Bloemker

Ed Bloemker began his career in the music industry in 1972, joining the staff of the Wurlitzer retail stores in Indianapolis.

In 1974, Ed joined Day Music Company in Portland, Organ, specializing in the sales and installation of Allen Church Organs, as well as Steinway Pianos.

In 1980, Ed was approached by the Allen Organ Company to become their exclusive dealer for Central Indiana. Ed moved home to Indiana and opened Classic Keyboards of Indiana. Over the next decade, Ed and his staff oversaw the installation of over 200 Allen Organs in churches across the state.

In 1989, Ed was approached by Dick Gigax, the owner of the newly formed Meridian Music Company. Dick proposed a merger of strengths. Meridian Music had already become the dominant piano dealer in Central Indiana. With the addition of the Allen institutional organ line, Meridian Music would be well positioned to serve the needs of schools and churches. The merger was completed, and Meridian Music continued to grow and prosper while serving Central Indiana’s musical needs.

Ed’s wife, Cathy Bloemker, is the Sales Director for Meridian Music. Ed continues to serve the needs of Allen Organ clients. In addition, Ed serves the company as Vice President of Operations.
